Goldie: A Day in the
Life of a Blind Dog

Trials and tribulations.  Triumph and victories.  How one dog demonstrates courage, forgiveness and even humor to overcome disability.  Blindness is not a death sentence, and Goldie proved that time and time again.

Goldie is a dog who shows that when life puts up roadblocks, there are ways to maneuver around them, even if you might bump into a few things along the way.  This book is for her, and for all of the dogs who have battled their own unique challenges.

Some heroes wear capes and fly through the air.  My hero is Goldie who wears a life vest and swims.  Not only does she live life, but lives life with a passion.

Blindness didn’t conquer Goldie.

Goldie conquered blindness.

Before adopting Goldie, I didn't know what life would be like living with a blind dog.  The truth of it is, it's not much different!  Dogs are amazing in so many ways, and watching Goldie live her life as normal, was amazing in itself.

This is not a sad book.  I had written this in 2018 and Goldie was alive and happy.  It's now many years later and she has since passed over the rainbow bridge, but she lived a good life and got to travel across the country, sniffing out scenes she'd never previously encountered.  She motivated me to write this, because if anyone ever has to make a similar decision, I wanted them to know, it will be okay.
